18. Al-Kahf, Mecca
The Quranic Text & Ali’s Version:
وَرَأَى الْمُجْرِمُونَ
النَّارَ فَظَنُّوا
أَنَّهُم
مُّوَاقِعُوهَا...
18: 53. And the Sinful shall see the Fire and apprehend that they have to all therein;
... وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا عَنْهَا مَصْرِفًا ﴿٥٣﴾
no means will they find to turn away therefrom.
18:53
Waraa almujrimoona alnnara fathannoo annahum muwaqiAAooha walam yajidoo AAanha masrifan
Asad And those who were lost in sin will behold the fire, and will know that they are bound to fall into it, and will find no way of escape there from.
Pickthall And the guilty behold the Fire and know that they are about to fall therein, and they find no way of escape thence.
Shakir And the guilty shall see the fire, then they shall know that they are going to fall into it, and they shall not find a place to which to turn away from it.
