45. Al-Jathiyah (Kneeling Down)

Asad’s Version:

(45:22) for, God has created the heavens and the earth in accordance with [an inner] truth, 23 and [has therefore willed] that every human being shall be recompensed for what he has earned and none shall be wronged.

[[Asad’s note - 23 See note 1 1 on 10:5. The implication is that without a differentiation between right and wrong or true and false - there would be no "inner truth" in the concept of a divinely-planned creation.]]

The Quranic Text & Ali’s Version:

وَخَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ...

45: 22. Allah created the heavens and the earth for just ends,

... وَلِتُجْزَى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ...

and in order that each soul may find the recompense of what it has earned,

...وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾

and none of them be wronged.
