3. Sura al-Imran
Medina 89 [200 verses]
The Quranic Text & Ali’s Version:
يَوْمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مُّحْضَرًا...
3: 30. "On the day when every soul will be confronted with all the good it has done,
...وَمَا عَمِلَتْ مِن سُوَءٍ تَوَدُّ لَوْ أَنَّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَهُ أَمَدًا بَعِيدًا...
and all the evil it has done, it will wish there were a great distance between it and its evil.
...وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللّهُ نَفْسَهُ وَاللّهُ رَؤُوفُ بِالْعِبَادِ ﴿٣٠﴾
But Allah cautions you (to remember) Himself.
And Allah is full of kindness to those that serve Him."
Transliteration Yauma tajidu kullu nafsim ma_'amilat min khairim muhdara_w wa ma_ 'amilat min su_'(in), tawaddu lau anna bainaha_ wa bainahu_ amadam ba'ida_(n), wa yuhazzirukumulla_hu nafsah(u_), walla_hu ra'u_fum bil 'iba_d(i).

Pickthall On the day when every soul will find itself confronted with all that it hath done of good and all that it hath done of evil (every soul) will long that there might be a mighty apace of distance between it and that (evil). Allah biddeth you beware of Him. And Allah is full of pity for (His) bondmen.
